Vassilis Spyrou was born and raised in Karditsa, Greece. He has completed Management Studies at college "Omilos Xini" in Thessaloniki and he is currently a student at the Department of Building Refurbishing and Restoration of the Educational Institute of Technology (TEI) in Patras. During the 2004-2006 period he attended Photography Workshops of the University of Patras Photographic Club. He has participated in several group shows in Greece and abroad. Some of his photographs were selected to take part in an exhibition titled "Family of Man, Connecting Cultures", which made a tour around European countries, in the context of "Luxembourg, European Capital of Culture 2007". His work has received numerous honors and awards in photo competitions. He freelances regularly in several magazines including the greek editions of SOUL, BEST etc. One of the founders and active member of Photography club of Patras "IDIFOS".
